Meditation Net (www.tiaojie.com) is a public-interest legal website founded in March, 2012, which aims to achieve mutual understanding and dispute resolution among different parties, and to promote the innovation of basic-level social governance through public-interest legal service like legal popularization, legal consultation and civil meditation.
Meditation Net is actually a “third-party” platform for meditation, a forum for online and offline community service and legal popularization. It offers opportunities for professional network of micro-public welfare and provides public-interest online dispute resolution (ODR).
Meditation Net organizes community activities such as “Law in Community” and “Case Analysis in Community”, helps minor suspects in criminal justice through “Proper Adults”, “Social Investigation”, “Investigation and Education” and “Community Correction”, and coordinates with courts to develop “third-party legal service” that can further the reform of diverse dispute resolution mechanism.
Meditation Net also organizes online legal popularization activities like “Legal Hotline”, offers online legal consultation, civil meditation, legal aid and lawyer recommendation, and provides online ODR and meditation service.
Meditation Net is the only platform that offers voluntary legal service by the community of legal professionals and builds a team for the public-interest legal affairs.
Meditation Net is the only “Internet+ Teenagers’ Rights Protection” website among “2014-2015 National Teenagers’ Rights Protection Organizations” rewarded by the Central Committee of the Communist Young League.
Meditation Net is the only social organization of “Internet+ Minor Procuratorate” among all the advanced experience of 30 Years’ National Minor Procuratorate introduced by “Justice Net” (www.jcrb.com) of the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
Because of the public-interest legal service model and the excellent work, Meditation Net was recommended as a special brand by “Hubei Justice” and was posted on the front page of Hubei Daily, and was reported twice by China Central Television News Channel (CCTV-13).
